Honor the Legacy of Dr. King

There are a variety of ways for you to participate in honoring the life, ministry, and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Saturday, January 13 (2:00-5 PM) in the Sanctuary of Kensington Community Church:  A viewing and discussion of the provocative and award-winning film, GET OUT (read a review of the film).  The movie is Rated R, so viewer discretion is advised.

Sunday, January 14 at both the 8:30 AM & 10AM worship Service:  a MLK-themed service with gospel music and spirituals, words and clips of Dr. King, and an inspiring message from Pastor Darryl on the legacy of King in the 21st Century.

Sunday, January 14 at 5:00 PM MLK Jazz & Gospel Vespers (hosted by Christian Fellowship UCC, 1601 Kelton Rd, 92114).   Join with our Partnership sisters and brothers from all six churches for a Dr. King Inspired Jazz Vespers Worship Service.

Monday, January 15 at 8:15 AM Multi-Faith Community Service Project at Balboa Park.  Live into King’s legacy of Inter-faith Relationship Building by working side-by-side with friends from 13 different religious communities at Balboa Park.   (Click here for more details).
