Six of our young people continue their confirmation journey. Eva Playman, Fiona Buchanan, Audrey Freeman, Sarah Thompson, Eren Thompson, and Eve Paris, joined by their adult mentors in the church, take this “driver’s ed” class that will make them the drivers of their faith identity and journey. We thank Jackie Trischman, Sharon Young, Susan Cox, Carla Mathison, Brian Veskerna, and Marilyn Ongley for serving as mentors and accompanying the youth on service projects, classes, and to services in other faith communities. We are excited to share with you the 2017 Confirmation Schedule that will prepare our confirmands as they assume responsibility for their own faith journeys.
We offer confirmation classes to 6th grade and older students who are interested in learning more about their faith and initiating a faith they call their own. Talk to Marg Stark, Minister of faith programs, if you or your child is interested in Confirmation.
This multi-session program is for 7th to 9th graders to promote self-worth, sexual health, responsibility and justice and inclusivity. We offer it every other year, on the off years from Confirmation.
