Our Memorial Day festivities are truly a group effort! We start with our traditional pancake breakfast and relay team run, then watch the parade, and enjoy concessions provided by our Youth Group. KCC is planning a three-day mission trip to Tijuana June 22, 23, and 24 for adults and youth 7th -12th. For this, you will need a passport so get your papers in order now! We will be doing three day trips to do work for City of Refuge Church among others. Plan to join us one day or all three, but get your passport ready now. Read more about the trip.
On May 7, the choir start work on our Father’s Day performance of Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” Under the musical direction of Meagan Flint, KCC offers FREE music instruction for your children, ages Preschool through 12th Grades on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, 11 AM to Noon, in the Youth Hall. The choir will combine instruction with social justice themes, as well as performance opportunities a few times a year in church. Please note the revised Youth Choir schedule for the spring.
We offer confirmation classes to 6th grade and older students who are interested in learning more about their faith and initiating a faith they call their own. Talk to Marg Stark, Minister of faith programs, if you or your child is interested in Confirmation.
This multi-session program is for 7th to 9th graders to promote self-worth, sexual health, responsibility and justice and inclusivity. We offer it every other year, on the off years from Confirmation.
